Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will lead our people in the branch and ensure our members financial dreams are coming true & continue growing our branch business. You have a solid understanding of building relationships, gaining wallet share and all things deposit, financial planning, and lending to coach your team day in and day out.  Under your collaborative leadership style our members and our people will be engaged, and strong solutions will be delivered to every member every time.

A typical day in the life as Assistant Branch Manager:

  • Collaborate with your leaders of sales and service to deliver results to our members
  • Thinking of ways to achieve growth for our members and WCU
  • Making our people empowered and engaged

What you bring to the table:

  • You’re an inspirational leader looking to enrich people’s lives and your community. You’re excited to collaborate with those around you to strategize, deliver and promote Westoba and completely transform banking as we know it!

You bring with you:

  • At least 3 years of experience in retail banking and a plus if you understand the wealth management world
  • Have a number of years’ experience in leading people and coaching to achieve growth and exceptional service
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills with the ability to not only connect the dots but also translate them and relate well with employees, leaders and members in any channel they choose
  • A high-performing work ethic, ability to be nimble and focus on the right results while being a team player
  • Confidence and flexibility to challenge the status quo, elevate processes
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning & development for self and others
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Commerce, Communications, Leadership etc.)
  • Credit Union accreditations would be pretty awesome but not required

 

*** This position will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Glenboro branch
