Hours: OVERNIGHT SHIFTS (23:00 – 07:30)


Reports To: Administrative Coordinator, Rotary Villas at Crocus Gardens




Responsibilities & Accountabilities


·        Greet and communicate with all residents, guests, staff and visitors in a kind, professional manner


·        Respond to emergency duress calls in suites – must be comfortable and willing to provide first aid if necessary


·        Answer and transfer phone calls


·        Ensure the safety and security of the building by monitoring secure entrances


·        Document incidents occurring within the property to residents, staff and visitors, in detail


·        Coordinate and publish daily resident newspaper


·        Other duties as assigned




Essential Competencies & Qualifications


Education & Experience


·        Current CPR and First Aid Certification required, or must be willing to obtain upon hire


·        Post-secondary education in administration, healthcare or hospitality is considered an asset


·        Previous experience in administrative, hospitality or senior care positions considered an asset




Skills & Abilities


·        Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and work well under pressure


·        Effective oral and written communication skills to respectfully and compassionately work with seniors and their families


·        Excellent observational skills and ability to determine urgency or reportable incidents


·        Must have a high degree of interpersonal skill which would enable the incumbent to deal successfully with clients, community and organization contacts


·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)






·        Strong aptitude towards the good health and safety of all residents, staff and visitors


·        Empathetic to and understanding of the specific needs of seniors


·        Must have a high degree of interpersonal skills which would enable the incumbent to deal successfully with emergency situations

·        A current and clear Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Search
