Meet our veterinarians; Dr. Frank Nichols,  Dr. Jay Thrush and Dr. Jennifer Sletmoen.

Dr. Frank Nichols

Dr. Nichols earned his DVM degree in 1978 from the University of Saskatchewan. He is part owner of Brandon Hills Veterinary Clinic along with Dr. Thrush. Dr. Nichols has a keen interest in horses, is an accomplished cellist, and enjoys spending time with the many animals on the Nichols' farm. Dr. Nichols has special interest in the areas of dentistry, animal behavior, endoscopy, and ophthalmology.

Dr. Jay Thrush

After several years of rigorous training, Dr. Thrush obtained his DVM degree in 1993 from the University of Saskatchewan. He is part owner of Brandon Hills Veterinary Clinic along with Drs. Nichols and Shamanski. We are very proud of the fact that Dr. Thrush was the President of the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association in 2005. His special interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, dermatology, endoscopy, laser therapy, and exotic pets of all kinds. He also loves spending time getting to know his patients (he especially likes puppy kisses) and their human families. In his time off, Dr. Thrush enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, horseback riding, motorcycling, and studying wildlife and nature.

Dr. Jennifer Sletmoen

Dr. Sletmoen achieved her DVM degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008. She enjoys getting to work with a variety of species and has a particular interest in internal medicine, wound management and client education. Dr. Sletmoen enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends, including her dog, cat and horse. She also keeps busy through a variety of physical activities and studying French. She joined the team at Brandon Hills Veterinary Clinic in June, 2012 and is looking forward to meeting all of the clinic’s patients and their families.
