Client Service Administrator

 

 

 

Role Summary

 

This role is responsible for daily business administration, execution, coordination and communication of various administrative initiatives for a progressive financial services office.  Responsible for tasks associated with administrative activities. Tasks are completed following general instructions.

 

Main Accountabilities

 

  • Must provide support to advisors for daily administration requests which would include all client requests, Insurance & Investment admin, mailing, filing and data entry.  Also must be able to suggest improvements for project management when required
  • Telephone reception and client service
  • Deal directly with existing clients and Sun Life Financial Corporate Head Office daily and the general public on occasion
  • Responsible for maintenance of computer environment in office including but not restricted to back-ups and software updates, and maintenance of social media
  • Performs other related work as assigned

 

 

 

Qualifications and Competencies

 

  • Highly motivated and results oriented, with strong self-management skills
  • Must approach tasks with an innovative mind set and positive outlook
  • Solid ability to organize and prioritize, working effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Sales focused team player with superior interpersonal abilities.   Must have the ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships ensuring confidentiality with a diplomatic and professional manner. Also must have the ability to be proactive when responding to client inquiries or concerns.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills are a must along with knowledge of plain language principles.
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Excellent PC skills, including the use of Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
  • Attention to detail with strong documentation and follow up skills; Ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment and discretion.

 

 

 

Assets

 

  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Knowledge of internet and social networking sites and proper management of same
