Work and days off

Ok so my job I work at have put up the schedule for next week and it says I only get one day off...not just me but everyone else. I have two days of the week that I'm NOT available...and my boss knows this (personal reasons). So I just called the labor board and asked them about that, and their response
Doesn't matter what you're job is..full-time- or part time, only required to give us one day off in a 7 day period.
What the HECK!!! How is that fare? Yeah, at my job we're getting more busy...but seriosuly? I'm not ok with this at all! I work my @$$ off at this stupid job (which by the way I wish would burn to the ground), I get a crappy wage for what I do (other places who do the same thing get a better wage and benefits)....I'm really ticked off right now! Like I said I told my boss I'm not available certain days...and she puts me on the schedule on one of those days. Maybe a lame reason...but so what.
And I'd rather not call in sick....I'm looking for another job...but not many places are hiring. :S
