House on 1st street

Does anyone know what gives with the brick house that is all boarded up in the 1000 block on first street??? Seems like the place has been abandoned for several years

me too

I would like to know too. Drive by it everyday. It looks like someone has been tending to it tho, there's been some yard clean up this year.

I

think the house is in really bad shape but as long as the owners keep paying taxes not too much can be done.

House on 1st

From what I have been told there was a single occupant living in it with no power or heat for a number of years...hoarder. Last summer there was a group of people wearing hazmat suits that tented the house and cleaned it all out. When the tent was taken down the windows and doors were boarded up.

VACANT

The gentleman that lived there no longer does, however it will probably sit like that until he dies... he keeps his taxes paid.

VACANT

sort of knew the gentlemen who lived there a while back ,and I knew his mom and dad well before they died several years ago now. The mom and dad owned the home and i assume was inherited to the son.But the boarding up of the place seems puzzling
