Does anyone know the going rate for leasing the oil rights (per acre) on property ? or know where l would find out ?
We were contacted by a Oil Company in Regina and they made us a offer.

The land is in southwestern Manitoba near Waskada.thanks.

Well

If you live in that area I am sure you must know somebody who has leased them....ask your neighbours, with all these wells going up I get the impression everyone in the area that has mineral rights left is going to be receiving these phone calls.

We just have the mineral rights, anyway,we got it all figured out and signed..if anyone cares to know, they were offering $100.00 per acre to lease the land and 17 percent of the oil that comes out of the ground..

Call a lawyer in Virden

The smart thing to do is call one (or all) of the law offices in Virden. I am certain that they will have had many clients over the years who have asked exactly the question you are asking. They will know the going rate and how to make sure your rights are protected. This is something you need professional advice on.
