| | | yes | | |
My boyfriend works there and is going to be doing that. I guess he is lucky he didn't get laid off instead though, he doesn't stand as big a chance off not getting called back in time to keep his current seniority. So good and bad. |

| | | if job sharing approved | | |
they will end up working 3 days a week and getting paid for 2 by EI.
It may start as a 4 day week, but pretty sure it will end up being 3. Edited by Brenda, 2009-11-20 16:22:13 |

| | | It doesn't seem right | | |
Allowable earnings
If you are receiving regular, parental or compassionate care benefits, you can earn 25% of your weekly benefit or 50$, whichever is higher, without changing the amount of EI benefits you will receive for that week. Any monies earned above that amount will be deducted dollar for dollar from your benefits. You must, however, always declare all your earnings.
It doesn't make sense to me you can work 4 days and get the 5th paid for. EI only pays 55% anyway

| | | IVT | | |
IVT is doing the same thing right now, they are on 4 days with the 5th through EI (only 55%)- they just started this past week. Supposed to take 28 days for the 1st payments |

is a special program through the government. The company has to apply and pass four levels of "rules" to get approved. In the end, I guess this is better for the government to pay one or two days EI, then pay 100 people regular EI benefits. It is a long drawn out process, I believe Behlen started applying for this in early October. |

It is also only approved for so many weeks. I think they were trying to get it approved for 8 months, but I could be mistaken?? |
