About time

Now if we can only get her to feature someone else on the cover of 'O' magazine. Next to go, Lloyd Robertson. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and he is a great anchor but he is past 70 and need to give others a chance in the seat. Retire already and help others get a job during the recession.

I thought Oprah on tv was like winter in Canada, it will always be here!

I'm kinda sad to hear it, i want her to keep working a long time still!

The real story!

Networks want her to take a pay cut because her show is struggling with ratings which is effecting the advertising revenue she can pull in for the show. Networks have said she will have to take a pay cut and she isn't willing to.

Dr Phil is in the same boat. guess we will see what happens there. Either way I DON'T CARE because I don't watch daytime TV. I HAVE A JOB!

So do some other people who watch daytime. But that comment aside, I really could care less.

Her show SOMETIMES had interesting stuff, but it was usually "OMG TOM CRUISE TOMMOROW!!".

But she did start off the Dr.Phil and Dr.OZ shows whom are worth watching (at times anyway).

Yeah-hoo

Self righteous know-it-all.

How will we ever survive without her leading us "norms" to the light?

Now if we could only get rid of Kate, Dr.Phil & Bono, since they're all the same person in disguse, the world would be a better place.

At least we don't have to worry about Billy Mays.

Good riddance!!!!

Yay I'm kindarelived her shows were getting a little boring lol

not to be rude, but honestly it seemed like she had no more ideas for what her shows would be about anymore. Not complaining just putting that out their.

Well, I hope she has a long and prosperous life....she's so rich it would be nice if she went to every house in the world and dropped off free money.

know....bringing subjects like last week's where a 5 year old was sold by her mother as a sex slave then raped and murdered brings issues to the fore-front. As she has highlighted sexual predators last season many they showed were caught.... that's some important stuff. If even one sexual predator was caught, the show made a difference, which I'm all about.
She has meant a lot to me during my teenage years (long ago) that I watched her and found I wasn't alone.

focus on God, but she definatly often makes comments on things that you know that yes, she believes in God.

Not really, she kinda has a mash of all sorts, remember the "New life" web classes? I caught one webisode and her and the creepy looking guy spent nearly the entire 'class' trying to disprove The Cross, and other such aspects. (It was kind of a "Don't believe the Bible, believe us" moment)

ANyway, i cannot stand her show, and don't watch it. (Not since she went all crazy and occultish) Can't say i'm not happy for her to be going!!

oh

I didn't see that one, I guess maybe she believes in God but not Jesus? I don't know, but I know a lot of her shows(not all, like celebrity interviews) do a lot of good (did you see the woman who was attacked by a chip, oh, my gosh!), and I still watch a couple of times a week.
She has meant a lot to me in one point in my life.

Oprah is inspiring

It seems some of you have been somehow made uncomfortable by something of who she is, something she's done, said, or maybe the billions she's worth but i see that more as a reflection of what's going on for you than has anything to do with Oprah.sorry.

It is undeniable that what good she has created in the span of a couple decades, over 85% of people do not accomplish in a lifetime.

Yes Oprah has faults, HA, shocking! but can and will you deny all the good she has brought to millions? not to mention the issues she's made the US/Can aware of and thus created changes for.
How could one have any negitive AND IGNORANT thing (eg.Not a day too soon in my opinion) to say about another human being who has so dedicated her LIFE for helping and assisting our most vulnerable, the children! She has helped SOO many women be better mothers, and what greater good is there, than that?

I wonder if we had the complete stats, of how many men and women all over e a r t h, that by this woman's influence, raised their hand but didn't strike, strove for a better life, called someone to say i'm sick, please help me stop abusing my children, or decided to go off drugs, left a dangerous country, marriage, or got the courage to out a deep family secret so that their children could live free of their pain, or as simple as helped inspire a mom to just be a BETTER Mom, would it give naysayers better eyesight? hearing?
probably not. people see/hear BELIEVE what they wanna. and what makes them comfortable. u heard me.

...but for anybody really interested, it would be many, in fact it would be your neighbor on the left or on the right. or both! including yourself.

well

I wish she would have thought to do that a few years ago, I can't stand her. It floors me that anyone would watch her anymore? I find her obnoxious and slightly crazy. Good bye Oprah don't let the door hit ya........
