That is cool, and I would say it was end of august. And my address is not found on google maps, so no view of my home on it.
Pretty cool... check out Dominion Way (about #8), there is a guy standing in his driveway looking at the car drive by.

Also noticed three young ladies walking towards Vincent Massey High School on McDiarmid.
Any one else spot people other than in cars? |

I see in some places, they went down backlanes and that's what made it into Street View. |

just go to Google homepage click on maps zoom in towards brandon, "grab" (click and drag) the little yellow guy in the upper left. you will see all the streets and roads that can be veiwed highlighted in blue, when you have the little man close to the street you want to look at release the mouse and a view of the street should show up above thee map. |

kinda cool. I can see some people complaints though-- the camera sees more in someones backyards than anyone ever could do by walking biking by.
Mine ( house picture) is real cool( even a doggie in the window) although with a dead end street and such they only went halfway down my back lane. The Front yard was near perfect --green grass etc. I was wondering how the back would look! No joy! |

is on there two. Pretty neat since they filmed twice. Once when there was snow on the ground, and then in early spring. Saw a few people I know on there. Even though thier faces are blured you can still see who they are. Not good, when you are from a small town! |

| | | Street view | | |
Awesome!
I love the four blocks where the eBrandon cruiser shows up behind the Google car while I stalked it to take the pictures that were posted on this site in the spring.. forever immortalized in time
Going to do some experimenting today to see how it could be integrated into discussion threads as well as certain classified categories. If it's possible, it would be very helpful to have the ability to add a Street View of a specific address or street to certain discussions. It goes without saying that it would also be cool in the classified 'Homes for sale', 'For rent', and 'Garage sales' categories.
For anyone that's curious, here's the discussion thread from when Google was making the rounds in the city in late May. I don't have an exact date, but I believe they returned a few months later for a second shoot... perhaps of areas that they missed or had to re-shoot because of privacy concerns:

| | | Wrong Address | | |
Our house number is way off when I typed it in. I hope that this view won't be used in conjunction with GPS's yet. You can get pretty closeup on houses. Good thing I wasn't standing near the front window in my gitch, lol. |

| | | I saw my house | | |
Funny, when you view it from the east side, it's spring - leaves are just coming out and my hubby's car is in the driveway. When you view it from the front, there are flowers everywhere and the trees are full...and no car in the driveway...strange.

| | | Missed | | |
Our friends at ChrisD.ca have brought it to my attention that it looks like they missed Willowdale Cres West of 34th and that whole sub-division. Brookwood is also not included. Strangely, a small stretch of 34th St between Richmond and Willowdale also has nothing. |

Not sure if it is still the same on Google maps, but the last time I looked up Brentwood mobile home park, it showed it as being the cemetery behind Canadian Tire. I don't wanna live there! |
