I know what your talking about don't know the name of them, they are tiny anyways and end up dying on their own. I had them in a old house i lived in before, dehumidifier dried up the damp air they were gone. |

| | | I believe | | |
They are the larvae of a type of scavenger beetle. The beetles are gold to brown with a black stripe on their backs. We used to get them a lot in apartments, and they came with us to our new place. I had to obsessively clean every possible location of crumbs or larvae (dead skin too) for about a month to get rid of them. They aren't really harmful, but are fairly common and "YUCK".
Can't hurt to have an exterminator check them out though.

| | | I have them | | |
They like moisture. I lifted up my dog's water and food bowl (they are on a mat) and there were about 40 of them!! a I've put bay leaves in my cupboards and it seems to help a bit. |

These creepy sea creatures live over a mile deep in the near freezing oceans.
Although related to our common woodlouce, these monsters grow to over a foot long & scavenge the seabed.
another name for the common woodlouse is also known as a sowbug. |

| | | Sowbug/larder beetle | | |
These are really common around here. Early this summer we had a lot of sowbugs in our house. One thing that helped a great deal was using clear double sided tape around the window trim inside and a strip along the bottom of the door jams. I also have a flowerbed surround my house and I'm sure they are attracted to the moisture that produces. My plan is to move the flowers away from the house and get grass seed. |

We had these in our home before. They scatter as soon as you move you towel off the floor or anything off the floor for that matter. Usually are found in damp dark places. We first saw them in our home in the basement and then at night time they would be in our main floor bathroom. Took one trip from an exterminator to get rid of them. They are not dangerous but if you do get sprayed, make sure you have all boxes unpacked, because they will nest in cardboard, and keep away for 6 hours i think it is...i stayed out for 10 hours with my 2 young kids.In the link i post it shows them black...i have never seen a black one, they were always silver but maybe they are black when dead.

We had lots when we moved in here... i get one every few weeks maybe, i purchased 2 things, one can of stuff from poulins, sprayed all the baseboards and under carpet edges. Just called and described them and they told me what i needed. Then i purchased from wal mart, some home defence spray, you spray inside and outside, seems to help a lot.... i hate bugs, eewww... |
