| | | Shellmouth Dam | | |
We were at Lake of the Praire this past weekend. The lake levels there are dropping dramatically every day. People around the area say its because the gates are broken there and the new ones which have been sitting there for over a year arent installed? All that water is still heading East and I would think maybe that something should be done about this? All the land around the Assiniboine is still very we. Why would they not have fixed these and why would nt they try to do something now before the lake runs dry? |

| | | it dropped | | |
at least a foot this past week and from last night to this morning it had dropped 2 1/2 inches as we measured it? We have to keep pushing out the boat docks so the boats aren't on the bottom.
not disputing the fishing at all as we also caught some.
I was just wondering with all the overland flooding and the Assiniboine being full still why they dont try to get it fixed and stop the outflow so it can start drying up faster down stream? |

YOu do realize water is flowing into the shell as well as flowing out>:? I'm sure the people in charge of the dam know what their doing. |

| | | I am sure | | |
they know what they are doing but why cant they fix the broken gates is all I'm asking. This would be the same people that read the gages...right?
As for it being well above normal??? I dunno it keeps dropping pretty fast? |

| | | Maybe | | |
they can't fix the gates until the lake gets below a certain level. |
