Weddings on the Martese

My fiance and I are thinking about getting married on the Martese in Clear Lake and we were wondering about any experiences couples have had getting married there.

Were you happy with it? Did they have much options for supper? Did you like their decorations? Did you need your own centre pieces? etc etc

We considered getting married on the Martese last September. We elected not to due to my wife's grandmother. We were VERY concerned that she may trip &/or fall. The Martese is not very accessible to anyone with physical limitations (or anyone in a wedding dress for that matter).

The food is very good! I recommend a trial run for just the 2 of you. That's what we did. That's when we decided not to pursue this idea. In the end, we decided to opt for an evening cruise for the adults who wished to, while the children had a pool party at our hotel. The whole day was awesome!

I sent you a P.M.

We are planning on going for dinner there in a few months but are concerned about leaving it too long and getting one of the dates we want next year.

I was a guest

at a wedding on the Martese. Food was great, it looked great but...

weather was awful! They almost weren't able to go out but we did and it was rocky, cold and not overly fun. Luckily my friends were great and made the best of it and enjoyed their wedding but its a concern to be aware of when planning.

We had our wedding on the Martese last summer......it was AMAZING!

I can't even begin to praise the Martese. The planning was easy and stress free, the staff were beyond incredible and the food was to die for!!!!! Our guests still talk about the food :p

Wedding

Our daughter is getting married Oct. thanksgiving week-end 2013 and we have booked the Elkhorn Spa Resort, she wanted a more intimate setting...just a suggestion. If your having your wedding in the summer it sounds like fun but the weather would kick in as a factor and now a days the weather is so unpredicatable.
