| | | bike accident on 34th and willowdale | | |
Does anybody know what happened on 34th and Willowdale Tuesday between 4pm and 5pm. I was biking on the 34th bike trail and saw a man lying on the ground, there were several people helping him. I got to 34th and Richmond and there were a bunch of emergency vehichles heading that way so I went back and there were 2 ambulances, 2 police cars, and a fire truck and the man was strapped to a stretcher. I then saw a bike 10-20 feet away. Hope the guy is okay. |

Wow I'm glad he's okay, the bike looked to be be pretty far from where he was. I got hit on McDiarmid and 34th last year, and ever since that i wear a helmet. I always try to make eye contact with the driver so they know I'm there. |

Thank-you for your concern about my son and his accident. He was VERY lucky!!! We are very thankful that it was not worse than it was. I encourage everyone to hug their kids close and don't take them for granted. Things can change in a heartbeat. And, although I know it is like fighting a losing battle, please force them to wear a helmet when riding a bike! |

Glad to hear that you son is okay. Adults as well as children should absolutely wear a helmet when biking. I see so many families out there with only the children wearing helmets. Do the adults think that they will not have an accident or fall off of their bikes? It can happen when riding or stopping at a stop sign. My friend once stopped at a stop sign, lost her balance, did not have a helmet on and she fell over with her head bouncing off the pavement like a basketball. Not good. I, of course, had a helmet on and was glad to have it. I so recommend that everyone have the common sense to wear one whether you want to or not.

You might want to take notes about what happened. Autopac tends to wait around 11 months before someone from their recovery unit attempts to recover the costs they paid out to repair their clients car.
I might add, the unit that does this is very slick at doing what they do. |

| | | How old is your son? | | |
Was he wearing a helmet? It looked like his bike was pretty far away, i hope it didn't fly that far and that they just moved it. Is he or was in the hospital? No head injuries I hope. |
