| | | Android eBrandon users, where are you? | | |
There's currently 5x more iOS users than Android users on eBrandon. Let's try to shrink that gap.
Let's try to post on this thread using our Android's.

Very helpful to see names of regular users in this thread. The other thing with Android is how many are using Android phones vs tablets. I understand that right now you have to develop separately for the two although the new operating system changes that. I don't really plan on doing anything custom for any tablet in the near future since the full eBrandon browser-based experience is generally good in tablet web browsers. If the Android phone userbase keeps growing though (and I'm sure it will) ill definitely look at putting in all the work porting the iPhone app over. |

Tried to get my Galaxy infuse on. Stupid auto spell correct entered wrong password. Now it only wants to keep using the wrong password.
No clue how to clear it- grrrrr.
Maybe Friday I will read the directions and try and get on again. I like my Android although this is further proof my smart phone is smarter than I am! |

For me personally. I chose Android over because it basically does all the same things as an iPhone. All I heard were people saying all the troubles they had with iPhones and Blackberry's. |

Samsung Galaxy Infuse now, but as soon as I can upgrade, I think I'm going with a Note. I also have an Archos 7" Android tablet with a 200gb drive in it, but it's pretty bulky. The wife wants a new 7" Galaxy Tab 2 when we can get one locally. Oh, and don't forget the Android DLNA media box we're getting to turn our plain old flat screen TV into a full HD smart TV-internet device-media hub.
Why Android? Because I don't believe in companies that tell me how, where, when and with what software I can use my electronics devices after I've paid good money for them. How would you like it if Ford sold you a car and then told you where you could drive, who you could have for passengers and who you had to buy your fuel from - and if you did anything contrary to those instructions, you lose your warranty on your new car...???? |

Personally, I'm an iPhone user, but eBrandon would have more Android users if they provided more of an option. If the largest cellphone provider in MB (MTS) provided at least the Galaxy Nexus or something made in the last year, it would lure more people than that Blackberry Curve Edited by CL, 2012-06-15 06:09:12 |

Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
JR has pointed out obvious and correct reasons for the Android choice, and the number of potential customers beginning to see past the hype of a skillfull marketing machine is growing.
I researched all phones and operating systems before buying, and reliability, speed and size is where I landed.
And besides that, Google is a partner in the build and operation of the Nexus. Awesome. |

I used to have a Samsung Focus (Windows Phone 7), which, IMO, is the best mobile OS out there. (It died when I left it in a snowbank, sadly)
After that I had a Samsung Galaxy for a while. Android is sweet if you want complete control over your phone, but on the whole I found it clunky.
Now, sadly, I have an iPhone, purely because I didn't want to buy the Galaxy I'd borrowed for a while, and I didn't want to pay full price for an unlocked phone again like I did with my Focus.
Since Rogers' plans stink, and MTS's phone lineup blows, the iPhone on MTS was basically the only option. If MTS carried the Lumia I'd have upgraded to it instead of downgrading to the iPhone. |

question is, why NOT get an Android phone? You can do so much more then an iPhone and most of it is free. |
