| | | Vehicle has been around the area before | | |
It's often in the area. Visiting friends I assume.
I have a photo but can't upload. Police still doing the scene investigation. Hydro was still off on south side, but north side has power. |

| | | From Brandon Police | | |
From Brandon Police Service this morning. Sincerest thoughts are with the male driver, female passenger, family and friends during this difficult time.
--------------------------------
Serious Single Vehicle Collision with Injuries
At 3:46 AM this morning, a single vehicle collision was reported in the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue. Police responded to find that a pickup truck had apparently been travelling eastward on Stickney at a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control – striking a concrete embankment and then a hydro pole. The male driver was ejected from the vehicle on impact. Both the 20 year old male driver and 18 year old female passenger were transported to Brandon Regional Health Centre by ambulance. The female passenger was treated and released from hospital, but the male driver is to be transferred to Winnipeg with life threatening injuries. The incident is currently under investigation.

If the driver was taken to hospital withlife-threatening injuries, how could they have had trouble locating him? |

| | | I think I remember thinking there were 3 people | | |
I would have to look back in the papers, but I thought when I read the stories, thinking that it sounded like 3 people might be involved.
I thought there was a quote from a resident about the girl saying something that made it sound like a 3rd person was involved. And that the police were searching the area with dogs.
So I am wondering if there is just some confusion in this release making it sound like the driver was the the ejected one, but the ejected one was a passenger, and the driver just ran away.
This could just be me making stuff up, or reading far to much into the stories, or something. It could very well be, that he was treated and released, and then just never showed up for something, or couldn't be contacted. But interesting info to say the least. |

first I think they assumed the male that was sent to Wpg was the driver, but now they have found the true driver (3rd person). |
