Appears to be quite a serious event police have taped off the area.

Isn't there a live show and skate-a-thon there?

was hurt very badly.. i was there and helping he needs a miracle! please pray for him and his family.. he neds a huge huge miracle to pull through this.  

Hopefully the boy makes a full rcouvery and isnt injured too badly.

he will forever be in my mind and heart as a mother i can never forget what i saw and i hope to meet him some day and give him a huge hug! he needs everyone to pray for him!!  

what happened to him? does anybody know? How old is he? My friend has a son that skates there quite often.

What happend??

first time i saw a police escourt for a ambulance, i hope he is ok. will be praying for him

it was not at the skate park, this little boy was hit by a vehicle on princess

he was 2, 3 maybe

he was maybe 2 years old.. and he was hit/ran over by a vehicle.... he ran out into the street.  

Omg! I have a 3 yr old son, that often runs out quickly at any place we go.

i am a mother myself and things like this leaves me ill to my stomach and wanting to cry. although words cannot change anything i wish the family strength and im sure they will be in many of ebrandon readers prayers tonight.

i was just down there to see if i can move my car as it is within the block that is taped off and asked the officier if i can get stuff out so i can have my personal stuff.. asked him and the little boy did pass away this afternoon. the family will for ever be in my heart and so will that boy.

the car that was involved.. i have the drive in my prayers also as it was a pure accident.. i would never want to be in her position.. stay strong.

that makes me so unbelievably sad. My heart goes out to the family at this time, as well as the driver of the car.

and prayers go out to this family and also the driver. Another tragedy and another person suffering for ever due to this tragedy. Sad to hear of this, as in so many ways it can be prevented. As one said, block the streets. My sincere condolences to all involved.

VEHICLE vs PEDESTRIAN COLLISION  
At 5:05 p.m. today police received a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the area of 9th Street and Princess Avenue involving a child. Police and Brandon Emergency Services responded. Upon arrival it was found that a 2 year old toddler had been struck in the 800 block of Princess Avenue and was critically injured. The male victim was immediately transported to the Brandon Regional Heath Centre for treatment.  
 
It was reported by witnesses that the child had suddenly come out from between the parked vehicles by the curb and was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Equinox.  
 
Shortly after his arrival at hospital, Police were advised that the victim had succumbed to his injuries.  
 
Police have closed the 800 block Princess Avenue while they complete their on-scene investigation.

Me and my husband knew these people with the little boy..and he did not make it, unfortunately...  
 
our thoughts and hearts go out to the mother and family...

Rest easy lil guy! A life gone way to early! Thoughts are with the family!

My daughter was the one that was struck by a car in front of the Western Medical Clinic a few years back, same style of accident, she darted out to the street between 2 parked cars and the driver did not have time to react soon enough, thankfully my daughter survived, Worst feeling ever taking those few steps to the other side of the vehicle to see whether my daughter was alive or dead. Thankful she is alive today.  
I only know a fraction of what that mother is going through. Many prayers to them.

this breaks my heart!! life is so unfair at times and its heartbreaking to hear of all the young ppl losing their life way before their time is up.  
 
my condolences to the family and the driver involved. it will not be easy to get over this one. all involved are in my thoughts.

Oh God. My heart is so broken for everyone involved. My prayers are with the family and the driver as well as all those who tried to help.
