GOODBYE MOM

I hope this touches you the way it touched me!

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around.

If he stopped, she stopped.

Furthermore she kept staring at him.

She finally overtook him at the checkout, and she turned to him and said,

"I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease:

it's just that you look so much like my late son."

He answered, "That's okay."

"I know it's silly, but if you'd call out 'Good bye, Mom' as I leave the store, it would make me feel so happy."

She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, the man called out, "Goodbye, Mom."

The little old lady waved and smiled back at him..

Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone's day, he went to pay for his groceries.

"That comes to $121.85," said the clerk..

"How come so much? I only bought 5 items."

The clerk replied, "Yeah, but your Mother said you'd be paying for her things, too."

Bet you thought this was going to be a tear jerker.

Thanks for the laugh

I'll have to remember to do that to my kids when I'm a frail, helpless, senile (devious) ol lady!

This brought tears to my eyes!

Years ago my boyfriend and I were at an old folks home and one of the clients mistook my boyfriend for her son, she was so happy he came to visit her and it made her day, never did tell her it wasn't him, the staff said she lived in her own world and not to pay attention to the mistake. I never forgot how happy she was. I have lost loved ones and never got to say goodbye so I related to the beginning of this article, the phone rang just as I was reading the man in line said "goodbye to mom" I was on the phone tearing up....then I read the rest yes I get the joke, but, like the goodness and can understand of the man saying bye mom too!

It's not over......

You forgot about the part where you ran outside to chase the old lady down. Found her in the parking lot hustling to get into her car for a quick getaway.....

Tracked her down, opened up the car door, then tried to drag her out! I started pulling on her leg.....

Just like I'm pulling yours.
