Stealing a mower

Alright Brandonites I need some help, This morning at 10:45 my lawn mower was taken right from my yard, I was letting it cool down before I finished and went to weed the garden. In the 10 minutes I was weeding someone stole the lawn mower right from in front of me (and of course i didnt see them take it) When I looked up it was gone, looking down the back allies I found one attachment (the one that lets the grass shoot out) It is a Yellow cub cadet, that was self propelling. It was stolen on Princess between first and dennis. If anyone has seen someone walking around pushing a yellow mower please let me know. I just feel sick about this.

Audacity!!!

The threat implied by our court system doesn't seem to scare some people at all!
Hope you get it back.

Brazen

Thieves act with impudence knowing the "justice" system will do nothing to them. I had a bicycle stolen from my front porch several years ago - while I was watching TV in the house.

Even if you give the police the serial number, etc. It is highly unlikely you will see your mower again unless you come across it in a pawn or second-hand shop.

Watch the Classifieds?

I just checked and didn't see it for sale, but you never know. Thieves can be pretty stupid.

Some people's kids.....

Lack of respect for others people's property is all it is. I usually go with the " anyone found here at night, will be found here in the morning" attitude. Because my slap on the wrist will be a bit more than our justice systems. Hope you find your mower.

We

had some kids trying to steal one of our mowers I think last month or the month before that. Just caught them in time and yelled out, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING"? They took off real fast and never came back since. Well they better not LOL

yep

But god forbid their parents should give the little sh!t heads a good old fashioned spank!

Everytime a thread starts here about discipline, no-one wants to see a precious child get "hit". A little more corporal punishment, and this type of activity would be a lot less frequent.

Just sayin.

How do all you guys come to conclusions that it was a kid? Most kids and teens don't have their own house.. So no reason to steal one really I'm betting it was a middle aged or 20 something male.

At one time i had lived a couple of blocks east of the op and we were stolen from on a regular basis, from a fenced yard the garden shed our vehicle. We lost so many bikes and toys and tools it was sad really. the worst i think was after i had bought my son and i a pair of dirt bikes they were a cool kawasaki kx and a honda z, they were stolen, the kaw was never found but the little honda was recovered by police but although we could identify the bike down to the scratches, i could not find the bill of sale with the serial number so we could not have it back and it went in the police auction.

The police had it over night and now it is safely in the garage. The person who stole it is being charged.

Wonder if that's the end of his career?
Glad justice has been done.

Might even be convicted with a slap on the wrist.

I had a wooden kids picnic table stolen out of my backyard that was so heavy I could only drag it by myself. I found it in someone's backyard down the street so I phoned the police. The officer brought it back but said he knew the homeowner and he didnt think he would steal it because he was a good guy and that it was probably his son and that he would have a talk with them (they werent home when he went and got it back). Yah right, like a good guy would allow his son to bring home a stolen kids table and keep it.
