Out of the 2013 models I think I would say Challenger for looks alone, but definitely Camaro overall. |

Mustang hands down. It has the history that neither Camaro or Challenger can touch. Of the three it's the only one never to have production cancelled.
Mustang was the original "pony" car with first models being made sold as 1964 1/2 models. The Camaro and Challenger didn't come out until 1967 and 1970, respectively. |

Love the camero and challenger but would go with the challenger as I find it looks/sounds meaner and the camero is becoming the new cavalier with all the v6 models on the streets |

Camaro.
The stang has changed its skin so many times no wonder there is version called the Snake. Glorified fairlaine (still)
I love the Challenger but it Mopar and nuff said.
Basically as you can figure by now I am a chevy fan. All three cars are great. The Camaro is greatest--- Just enjoy your choice.
Just one fact of the three there is only one offered for sale in the US by car dealers. 58.000 list where you can take it to the race track and if something breaks it is covered by warranty.
It is not a trailer queen --it is built to be driven. . At the end of the day all three cars are a personal choice. You can do no wrong! |

for me hands down.
Ford RULES...............
I think it is just CHEEZY buying a supposed muscle car if you are not going to get it with some muscle under the hood. This goes for any of the 3 mentioned above. 8 pistons ONLY.

The sad thing is the best of these American 'muscle' cars deliver about half that managed by European manufacturers!

for sure!! Has to be a V8, GT500 or Supersnake. But have to say that Dodge did an awesome job with the retro looks of the Challenger. I rate them
1-Mustang
2-Challenger
3-Camaro |

I will preface with I believe the op was referring to the new models not the past which is an even bigger can of worms.
Puffwad - If you mean price you would be correct. Otherwise you could not be more wrong. All three have great performance and are good cars. V6's ~300hp as a base, and v8's 400hp+.
Check the nurburgring times for the camaro zl1.
http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/nordschleife.html
The only cars close (other than a vette) cost 2 to 3 times as much.
As for which one is best I would probably buy the camaro because it best suits what I would use it for. All three are great cars.
Usually I would say nothing but a v8 but the 6's in these cars are faster than many of the v8's of the past so I can't really fault someone for getting the v6.
Long live the horsepower wars, maybe I can afford a used one someday. |

The first to retro, fastest of the 3, especially 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 which has 650 HP. Vipers and vettes for lunch. |

lap time for the ZL1 isn't that impressive. The ZL1 did an 8:20, Ford Focus RS did 8:26. For a 60 grand car I think those numbers should be better and close to the Vette. I would be curious to see numbers from both the Mustang and the Challenger, both V6 and V8's. |

The zl1 is at spot 42 time is 7:41. Pretty impressive if you ask me. The camaro is faster on a track than the other two. Mustangs solid rear axle puts it at a big disadvantage. The challenger is good but heavy.
Puffwad- The camaro is built in canada.

1300 hp?? Not true, as far as I can find... The Pléthore has 750 hp. Top speed is 400Kph.
And it costs over $400,000.

so yeah, they better have some real muscle under the hood and it's gotta be a V8! My choices are 1.Challenger, 2.Mustang and 3.Camaro. Come to think of it , those were my choices with the original cars too. |

But I agree with a previous poster that it is too bad any of the 3 were made with V6's. Granted the V6's are making 300+ HP, to me its more about market saturation. As someone said, the Camaro has almost become this generation's Cavalier. If I'm dropping almost 50k on a new muscle car I don't want to see 20 of the V6 model on my first trip home.
There is a reason you will never see a V6 Corvette come buzzing up to the lights...... |

| | | Plastic looking | | |
I think they are all probably pretty thrilling cars to drive, and I doubt any of them can handle a true corner at any sort of speed, but the only one of those three that I think doesn't look silly and plastic like is the mustang, and that's only in some colours.
I personally would rather own the Challenger first if it looked better, but I haven't seen a good looking one of them yet.

How do you think the Bricklin compares to other sports cars of it's time?
Too bad it couldn't make a go of it, there isn't nearly enough competition from Canada in the automotive department....
