BEST salad in Brandon!?!?!?!?!?

My vote is definitely Marino's Greek Salad with Horitaki dressing!!!! THE BEST!!! BUT WAIT......what about before 4 pm when Marino's isn't open?????

I also love COBB or CHEF SALADS. Although I like all the greens and vegetables my salad, I needs some good fat and protein too!! Such a complete meal!

...any salad connoisseurs in Brandon?

Lady of the Lake

Lady of the Lake has wonderful salads. The Spinach with Saskatoons or the Garden with carrots and beets. There are others but it is midnight and my brain lost its glass slipper so I will have to report from there tomorrow. They are open for lunch Mondays to Saturdays and suppers on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I can not recall if they are open on Wednesday evenings.

Salad .....

At Montana's, I absolutely LOVE the Apple Pecan Harvest Salad. Comes with a Balsamic Vinaigrette. Mmmmmmm

Applebee's, I really like the Oriental Chicken Salad.

I also tried the Berry Almond Chicken salad at Wendy's and it was surprisingly good as well.

Applebees

Applebees oriental chicken salad isn't really a 'salad' ie, healthy, as it pretty much deep fried chicken with creamy chicken sauce ontop of noodles, and is 50g of fat! Just an fyi! I cringe when I hear people order it with extra dressing then act like "oh it's just a salad!" although it is tasty!

I like Boston pizzas summer menu strawberry salad with grilled chicken (dressing on the side : p)

I used to LOVE the chicken BLT salad @ Wendy's, but they took it off the menu. Tried others there but they don't compare.

Pretty sure no one specifically asked for the "most healthy" salad. Also, I have ordered it with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. Just an FYI.

Crispy chicken pecan salad with chipotle ranch dressing at Boston pizza is my favorite! Then I found out it was 1500 calories...if I don't eat anything else in a day then I will have it, it is worth not eating all day!

i used to like wendy's until they stopped carrying blue cheese dressing but amazingly i can stop at superstore and get a salad from their lunch counter that is fresh fresh and tasty

wine and cheese salad, so delicious. It is the only salad I've tried there so far, but highly recommend it. And it is so good, I am willing to try more of their salads.

I'm kind of with you. I like my own. I usually just put them together whatever way I might like it for that day. I like to mix it up a little and not just stick with one type of salad. I love variety and flavor.

My favorite dressings are homemade, for sure! I feel that the right dressing can make or break the salad. I love a raspberry vinaigrette, homemade yogurt ranch, and for fruit salads...yogurt base with ground vanilla bean, poppyseed & honey. I love the fact that I can use a good quality yogurt as a base. I can then eat as much dressing as I want, as I get beneficial bacteria with it and it always tastes great! This is my choice for dips too...yogurt based. Homemade is sooo easy!

I used to love a good balanced chef salad, but haven't had one of those in quite some time.

Thank you for all suggestions! The Truth 21 and The Travelller.....

Well, I tried Safeway today, got a chef style salad, I should have checked the date, the egg was rubbery, yuck. However, they do have a very large family size ceasar salad for $5 on sale. I didn't buy it as I was making homemade caesar salad tonight!

Traveller...I consider myself picky too, you won't be disappointed with Marinos gree salad, they use romaine lettuce in addition to vegetables, excellent and generous feta and their best is their homemade oil and vinaigrette horitaki dressing, plus for $2-3 you can add chicken or tuna and I think its 50 cents for any of the pizza toppings in your salad

Enjoy this perfect salad weather!

BEST salad in Brandon!?!?!?!?!?

My fave by far is the incredible salad at Hansel & Gretel's. It contains chunks of fresh fruit along with a variety of greens, and their homemade dill dressing is out of this world.

i may just have to try salad at marinos, to be honest when i go there my choices aren't as healthy lol but they are tasty, i like greek but since i only like half the stuff in traditional greek salad i rarely buy one out but now my kid will eat the olives and dh will eat the tomatoes so it might be worth it

Safeway

I forgot to add, my personal favorite is the broccoli salad from safeways. Depends on how fresh it is at the time though, and its not very good when they use too many raisons, however this rarely happens.
