A couple of weeks ago I had started a thread asking about renting wheelchairs in Brandon on a weekend. Through that simple question, a couple of amazing acts of kindness ensued.
Through this heat wave, my son was incapacitated due to his MS. There are some really huge messages of thanks that I need to recognize and pass on as there still are people who are kind and unselfish in this world.
Fist of all....Beej226...your loan of the wheelchair for these past 2 weeks as made a world of difference in the care for my son....THANK YOU so very much.
Second....Michelle....you went above and beyond what anyone could have imagined. You not only found a chair he can call his own, the kind person gifted it to him as well. Then you actually had it delivered to Brandon where we could pick it up. Also your hubby took the time to help us load the chair... THANK YOU so very much.
Third...the lady in Wawanesa (we will find out your name so you can be properly thanked) who generously donated the chair to my son. I hope you realize the difference you have made in his life as he is only 31 years old. THANK YOU so very much.
Fouth...the couple in Wawanesa who delivered it to Brandon for us...It made the picking up of the chair a lot easier for us and for that...THANK YOU very much.
These four groups of people have made a huge impact on a young man's life and for that we are all extremely thankful. Strangers helping strangers is not a lost concept...it is alive and well today! |

It's been a pleasure for all involved in helping with a lucky chain of events that led to a young man now having the use of his very own wheelchair, which he very much appreciates.
After speaking with this kind, polite and gracious young man, it's gratifying to hear his enthusiastic voice!

I feel lucky that my brother found me the wheelchair when I had a bad back. Mostly it sits here doing nothing now but someday I'm sure I'll need it. I'm happy that someone could get some use from it and I'm very happy that your son found one of his own. What a difference it will make in his life! |
