Hey ebrandonites! The Women's Resource Centre has decided August is the month of AWESOME.  
 
We are asking people to submit what they think is awesome and we will be posting these around the centre until the end of the month.  
 
The goal is to show people how many awesome things we are surrounded by and to promote positivity! Anything goes.  
 
So tell me what is awesome!!

I look forward to having grandchildren play in my back yard but my daughter does not share this wish at the moment. I live vicariously through you and your granddaughters.

My birthday is in August so i'm afraid it's already the month of Awesome. I suppose i can share with you guys though.

I'm terrible with a camera and hopeless at uploading pictures. Never know when the girls will be here. Depends on Mom & Dad's schedules...and ours.

My vote goes for the peace and calm of a sunny summer weekend morning just like this one.....best enjoyed with something as simple as a walk or breakfast on the deck.

The simple things in life are awesome.

Having someone open the door for you.

Watching kids playing.  
Finding something you thought you lost.  
Your boss telling you, "Thanks, great job!".

Yes, they are 16 months old but they get into such mischief that it is hilarious to watch.  
 
But they kept escaping from my back yard so I have trained them with an emotional leash. I have to spend time with them if they are outside. If one of them disappears, I rattle the Temptations bag and they come running for a treat.  
 
They force me to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather under the shade of the tree in the backyard. If I do more than ten minutes of gardening, they disappear and I have to stop my task and get them back into the play area. It is work but that is what a responsible pet owner does. It is actually quite rewarding to just sit and read the paper and glance up to see them chasing a butterfly or scampering up the tree.  

August - for me...  
 
The days are getting shorter  
The grass is slowing down

The bugs will die  
Everything will turn brown  
The darkness is closing in. That's awesome.  
 
(Seriously...omg, I love fall! Everything dies and it turns cold.)

How you can brighten someone's day or even week with a compliment. I like watching their faces light up! We all should give at least 1 person a compliment everyday.

Awesome is the look on my husband's face last night when he saw our eldest son and our daughter-in-law sitting at the table at the restaurant!  
 
It was our 30th wedding anniversary yesterday. I surprised my husband by flying our son and daughter-in-law in from Vancouver just to join the rest of the family when we all went out for supper last night!  
 
He said that was the best present I could have given him for our 30th!

was awesome! I got to have an adventure with a close girlfriend and it couldn't have been better.
