| | | Farmer's Markets? | | |
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Brandon, and I am hoping to find a few Farmer's Markets to get some fresh produce.
I read that there is one at the Shoppers Mall - is that still going on? (and one downtown?) What day and time if you know please!
Also, are there any farms within a 15 minute drive that have stands where they sell their produce?
Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, and welcome to Brandon. Yes Brandon as a couple of markets.
I am a vendor at the Brandon Farmer's Market. It is held in the parkade at the Town Center which is the downtown mall, more offices not than mall sad to say, but the market is there and going very well. It is open every Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, lots of veggies, preserves, sugar free baking and sugar free preserves, baking and crafts.
There is also a small market at the Shopper's Mall held on Friday nights from 5:00 til 7:00 I believe and then there is the Global Market held on Friday evenings and Saturday from 9:00 til 1:00 on Rosser Ave.
Hope this helps and hope to see you on Saturday at the Brandon Farmer's Market. |

Norah is one of the vendors at the Global Market on Rosser Avenue. Her farm is east about two miles from the North Hill ACC Campus. The route from Veteran's Way may be blocked with construction of the 110 ByPass.

I'd like to add a note about the Friday night Farmer's Market at the Shoppers Mall. Even though Creasy's Hot Tubs have set up a display on the corner, the market is still going on as usual.
It may be hard to see behind that big yellow duck, but it's there, and the selection of veggies is at it's peak. |

Cranbrook Gardens also takes orders for larger amounts of veggies that are then used for canning and freezing. Simply call Jeanette Ens at 204-763-4888 and book your veggies with her.
Jeanette is a vendor at the Brandon Farmer's Market, which takes place at the Town Center parkade each Saturday morning from 9am til 12 noon. |
