Rocanville?

I just got a job offer at a camp in Rocanville and I really have no idea what is there resource-wise.

Also, has anyone ever worked in the camp there? I've never worked in a camp and not sure what to expect. All she said was "make sure you get some nice nonslip shoes for the office, you'll need them. The room has a bed, desk, medicine cabinet and sink" I know I'm gonna work a lot (21/7 rotation) but that's about it.

.

Rocanville SK is a small town, but has a CO-OP store/gas station and a few small stores. With all the activity at PCS, it's very crowded and underserviced.
Moosomin is 47 km away, and has alot more to offer.

You got a crap car?

They do essentially "folk rallys". Any one can enter, any car, usually a beater so you don't rune your everyday car - but lots of fun when you have some time off.

Other than that your usual small town- grocery store couple of mom and pop shops, gas station, hotel bar etc. The camp has a kitchen (at least it used to) hope you like dads cookies They were the best thing to ever come out of that kitchen LOL

Good luck and have fun!

Yeah

I don't have a vehicle, much less a beater haha. I almost ended up in a kitchen there but instead got something else (yay!). I can't imagine the foods any good but I can't really complain if it's free. The videos on the website don't work on my laptop for some reason. Are the facilities at the camp decent/some degree of safety?

They're

Ok. It's not a 5 star resort by any means, but they're decent. I promise you won't perish or live like a hobo. Have you ever been to a hostel or rooming house it's that kind of experience. Little privacy, your room is your fortress of solitude, other than that it's kind of like going to summer camp for adults, you'll work lots and be happy to have a room to pass out in!
