| | Chevrolet Door Lock not working | | |
I have had a few Chevy trucks now and it seems once they are around 6 years old the power door lock on the driver side quits working. It seems like a design flaw designed especially by GM to make sure it is the drivers door that stops working.
Is there a cheaper way to have this fixed rather than going to the local GM dealer. Wondering if you could get a part from Westman salvage and have a backyard mechanic fix it. |

Search Gruven Parts, they sell replacement motors for the door lock actuators. You can either buy the motors and install yourself, or purchase modified actuators. I purchased and installed motors in my drivers side and passenger door, it was a bit of work to modify them myself but I got it done. |

It could be the switch is worn. Easier to check that first. |
