Meteor showers

There are supposed to be multiple meteor showers at night over the next week with tonight (Friday) and Saturday night the best nights to view them. Can anyone tell me if there are specific times and locations in the night sky where these showers can be best seen? Also, I presume being out in a rural area away from the city lights will provide a better opportunity to see them?

TIA for any info shared

I have been outside until now -I'm in the country-and I haven't seen a single meteor.

The

annual Perseid meteor shower peaks in the early morning hours of Saturday. The just past Full Moon will drown out many of the fainter meteors.

And to see them, if you can get out of the lights of the city the better.

I took a drive out to the country last night and saw several! And that moon. Wowza it was beautiful rising. I'll be headed out again tonight.

Should

start more so after 12am. But the bright Moon will be drowning out the faint meteors. And just find a location away from lights.

Also

there have been social media posts about how this is suppose to be the brightest meteor shower in human history. This is NOT true.

Saw a couple nice ones so far. But didn't have the camera in the right spot or imaging.

Sky quality

Tonight the sky quality will be best between 10:30 and midnight, the moon will continue to move out of the way all week.
For the best quality pictures, You need a dark place out of the city and a sky that is free from the brightness of the moon.
The moon was too bright after about 12:15 last night.

That's

the thing with meteor showers, they are unpredictable. From midnight till about 2pm, I saw 4 bright meteors.
