Natives make pair of deals ahead of season opener

The Neepawa Natives have made a few additions to its line-up for the start of the regular season. The MJHL club has acquired the Canadian Junior A playing rights to 18-year-old defenceman Kaleb Denham from the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Grande Prairie Storm for future considerations. The Red Deer, Alberta native had two goals and two assists in 42 AJHL games last season.
Neepawa has also picked up the rights to 18-year-old forward Nolan Martens from the Dauphin Kings, for future considerations. Martens had eight goals and 25 points in 44 games last season with the Pembina Valley Hawks in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
