Rivers Curling Club is proud to be hosting the 2015 provincial Golden Gals curling event March 9 -12. There will be 16 teams from across the province competing in the event, from as far away as Flin Flon to as close as Brandon.

On Monday there will be two draws to begin the round robin play, one at 11:20 a.m. and then again at 3:05 p.m. In between those games, the “opening stone” will be thrown by two of our very own “Golden Gals,” Donna Veitch and Beth English. This will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9. Monday evening will be opening ceremonies at 5:45 p.m. with young curlers carrying team names; supper will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday will see a full slate of curling with four draws, starting at 9 a.m.; the last game of the day will begin at 4:30 p.m. By Wednesday the round robin will be finished and Draw 7 of the sudden death event begins at 9 a.m. Draw 8 begins at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 with the final game at 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

Come on out and see some great competitive curling!
