Moose Jaw, SK (CKLQ) – Three players registered multi-point nights as the Brandon Wheat Kings picked up a 4-2 win in Moose Jaw on Saturday night.
Stelio Mattheos (1G-1A), Luka Burzan (1G-1A) and Schael Higson (2A) lead the way for the Wheat Kings as they move to a perfect 2-0-0-0 to start the 18/19 WHL season.
Jiri Patera stopped 28 shots, including 14 in the third period to earn his 2nd consecutive victory.
Roblin, MB native Josh Brook took charge for the Warriors in the third period, scoring twice and earning first star honours in front of the sold-out crowd in Moose Jaw.
Unlike Friday night, each team ended up with powerplay chances. The Warriors scored once on three opportunities while the Wheat Kings finished the night 0/2.
Brandon will now have the week off before welcoming the Lethbridge Hurricanes to the Wheat City on Saturday night. (7:30 on QCountry Radio)
