Sep 2009 | I have had to use a food bank a couple of times and there was no way we got enough food for myself and 3 children. I was grateful for their help don't get me wrong.
At least this Mom has a job and only needs help for food for a couple of weeks until her first pay cheque.
I can't imagine how hard it was for her to even post such a wish. I would think she had to put her pride aside to just even make such a wish!

Sep 2010 | you should definitely utulize the food hampers from samaritan house. iseedouble is right, there won't be enough to completly cover all needs but it helps. 7th st health access centre can also sometimes provide food in emergencies. they actaully have many helpful services there (free laundry, phone, shower, etc). it's worth checking out.

Aug 2008 | I hope my box of goodies will help you get through until you get a pay cheque or two in the bank. I was in a similar situation and was lucky to have a Mom fill my cupboards. This will also teach your children to be charitable when they can in the future.

Mar 2010 | I would love to help you out! Wevare needing some room in our freezer anyways! What are some things you need? Maybe I can put together a hamper. We live out of town but I am coming into Brandon on Monday and Tuesday during the day. Just let me know what works for you.
