Looking for a fun, on-the-water team sport? Try Dragon Boating!
We meet Wednesday evenings from 6:20pm ? 7:45pm (May 27st to Sept 9th 2026)
Minnedosa Lake Campground Beach - Come 10 minutes early for registration
- Co-ed team sport
- Ages 16 and over are welcome
- No previous paddling experience required
- First time trying is FREE!
- Promoting fun physical activity in a 40-foot boat
- Recreational team with the goal of participating in a Dragon Boat Festival in August/September
- Some mobility limitation can be accommodated (try out the sport to see if it is a fit for you)
What does an evening of dragon boating look like?
- Start with a warm-up on land
- Personal Flotation Device jackets (PFDs) and paddles are supplied
- Line up to see who paddles left and who paddles right
- Load the boat and head out onto the water
- Practices include a warm-up on the water, stretches, fun drills, some timing exercises and start work
- After paddling we meet up at Dari Isle Drive-In for late supper or ice cream (optional)!
