As reported earlier this month, Payless Shoesource’s Shoppers Mall location will be closing along with all Canadian and North American stores.
They are now in the process of conducting a Store Closing sale, which was observed in Brandon today to be at 30% off of items in the store with some items in rarer cases being as high as 40% and 50% off. Signage on display indicates that all sales are considered final.
In a press release earlier this week on liquidation sales being conducted across North America, it was said that the sale will continue until all merchandise including furniture, fixtures and equipment are sold. There was no additional information on what the nature or timing might be on any additional discounts going forward, though it’s typical for such a sale to gradually increase discounts as time goes on as available stock reduces.
