Construction on Brandon’s soon-to-be newest eatery is proceeding nicely, with signage posted recently at the future site of Original Joe's Restaurant and Bar promoting an opening of this spring. A new Brandon Sun report today sharpens that timeline a little more, quoting the franchisee as saying that the target is mid-May so long as all construction goes according to plan.
The restaurant, which will be located on the East side of the Shoppers Mall parking lot directly South of Swiss Chalet/Harveys, will be the fourth Original Joe's in Manitoba and first outside of Winnipeg.
Seating in the building itself is said to be for a little more than 100 people, though according to the report there are plans for a three season patio that will effectively double that number for a significant portion of the year. Its said that intent is to make use of heaters to extend what might be seen as typical patio season in this part of the world.
When complete it will mark fulfillment of a plan for three Recipe Unlimited (formerly known as Cara Operations Limited) eateries to be built in the parking lot of the Mall, joining Swiss Chalet Harveys (April 2018) and East Side Mario’s (July 2018) as recent openings.
