As announced earlier this year, CBCâs âThe Debatersâ with host Steve Patterson will be in Brandon on Wednesday night for a taping of the popular radio show at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium.
The live taping, which begins at 7:30pm, will see comedians engage in six debates over the course of the evening on a wide range of topics ranging from Slurpees to whether or not we should boycott travel to the United States.
On a look at the WMCA website tickets have sold very well, though some seats still remain towards the back rows. For anyone still looking to go tickets can be purchased online or from the box office right up until show time if available.
Earlier in March the lineup for Wednesdayâs debates was announced to be:
- Kelly Taylor & Sean Lecomber
- Rob Bebenek & Martha Chaves
- Jon Steinberg & Bruce Clark
- Graham Clark & Paul Rabliauskas
- Tim Gray & Dana Smith
- Lara Rae & Derek Seguin
On its website The Debaters is described as:
âThe hit show where comedians go toe-to-toe in a battle of laughs and logic. Hosted by award-winning funnyman Steve Patterson, the program is a combustible combination of sharply crafted comedic rants and hilarious ad libs.â
