Payless Shoesource now finds itself more than a month into the process of liquidating its North American stores, with their Shoppers Mall location having begun its own sale at the end of February. Some stores have already closed including a reported two in Winnipeg.
Brandonâs location took one more step toward that same eventual fate itself today with signage indicating updated discounts are now as high as 70% off yet some items still as low as 30%. Best to have a look for yourself as I make no assurances for this to be an an all-exhaustive list but highest markdowns were observed as applied to items that included winter boots, womenâs runners, heels, canvas, dress shoes, clothing items, wallets and kids accessories.
As one could imagine, remaining stock is fairly limited with heavy emphasis on womenâs footwear. Some childrenâs shoes and boots remain with very limited options for men.
In a press release in late February it was said that sales would continue until all merchandise including furniture, fixtures and equipment are sold.
