As the first flower in bloom for the season, the Prairie Crocus is often cited as a true sign of spring in Manitoba. In recent days a few local photographers have posted on various social media some awesome shots of our provincial flower which is now in full bloom. As I continue to learn the ins and outs of a new camera I thought I’d take the opportunity to throw my hat in the ring with a few pics of my own taken from land off of the banks of the Little Saskatchewan River not far outside of Brandon that a friend was nice enough to give me access to.
