The list of Brandon eating options officially gets one larger today with the opening of Original Joe’s Restaurant and Bar at its location on a freestanding pad site at Shoppers Mall Brandon.
The newly constructed building seats 100 with further patio space to about double that number on days where the weather allows. In the early going service will be on a first-come, first-serve basis with plans to accommodate bookings in the future. Though not available through online/app delivery services at opening, intent is to later offer ordering through that method after an initial few months of food first only being offered directly in-restaurant.
The million dollar question ever since it was announced that Original Joe’s would open this location is whether or not minors would be allowed to visit (some restaurants within the franchise have restricted patrons to age 18 and over). In conversation with the local franchisee I understand that all ages are welcome and that there is a kids menu.
The opening represents the final stage of a significant expansion in the Brandon market by Recipe Unlimited at Shoppers Mall, where the company last year also opened Swiss Chalet/Harvey’s and East Side Mario’s. They also operate Montana’s at the Corral Centre.
Original Joe’s will open at 11am seven days a week and will serve full menu up to 2am closing.
