On Sunday, Brandon Police Service informed of deplorable cases of graffiti they believe to be linked that placed messages of hate on two local schools in the early morning hours on Saturday.
The vandalism struck a particular nerve in the community, with a Brandon Police spokesperson telling the Brandon Sun that it is the first time they can recall a hate crime to this extent taking place in the community. The story has since also been shared in Winnipeg media as efforts continue to locate the young male that Police say is responsible based on video surveillance.
