Less than three shopping days to go until Christmas means that if you like crowds and a few “stop and chats” with friends, family and acquaintances, Brandon’s shopping hot spots aren’t likely to disappoint today.
A look from afar at The Shoppers Mall Brandon parking lot would seem to indicate that folks are out in full force crossing that last item off of their list. Today marks perhaps the best test yet of the re-imagined Mall, which has been the subject of much discussion in 2018 as folks act on curiosity toward how the new tenant mix/developments will effect visitor parking. Data from October stated that the mall property has a total of 2000 parking spots. Based on the eye test I wouldn’t say that each and every one was spoken for at 2:30pm this afternoon, but spaces further back toward the theatre are definitely being leaned on more heavily than they would be on a typical day!
The Corral Centre, complete with its own new development, is likely to be tested every bit as much today and if the live picture on the weather page is any indication one will have to approach it with max patience and tolerance too.
If you do happen to venture out, please be safe on roads that are quite slushy and slippery while city crews work throughout the day to clean up from the few inches of snow that was on the ground at wakeup this morning!
