Brandon Police report this morning of three separate fires that occurred in the city between Saturday and Monday morning.
Mondayâs fire, said to have taken place between 2 and 2:30am, occurred on the 1000 block of Russell Street. According to the account in this morningâs media release a witness saw suspect starting a fire in the truck cab by lighting a can of gas before fleeing.
On the weekend two vehicles on the 700 block of McDiarmid Drive were discovered to have smoke damage and charred materials on their interiors. Cause and whether related to Mondayâs fire are unknown. Damage was discovered on Monday though Police day both events are believed to have taken place on Saturday or Sunday.
All noted vehicles have been towed for further investigation. Police ask that anyone with information that may be of assistance to please contact.
