TD Bank confirmed today that it is the business that will be occupying the in-development building at 1108 18th street.
The building will serve as their new branch in the city, relocating from their current home downtown at 903 Rosser Ave. The planned new branch is said to have longer hours that include Sundays as well as extra parking and a range of financial advisors including in TD Wealth, Business Banking and Agricultural Services.
Geraldine Anderson, Manager of Corporate & Public Affairs for TD Bank Group said today in a statement distributed to local media that TD is working directly with employees and customers to ensure that they continue to meet all banking needs.
The site had previously been home to a Shell gas station, which has since been demolished and necessary excavation work conducted to prepare for development that was to begin.
When development began during the spring, a post in this section had been made amidst speculation that the eventual occupant may be a bank. At the time construction required temporary traffic disruptions as part of service line connection, though work is now contained within the property.
