One of the things I’ll be using this space for from time to time is to pass along travel deals out of our fantastically renovated YBR that have caught my attention. While we’re lucky to have any air service, flight options are limited and that means the deals are fewer and further between than they might be in a larger city. It doesn’t mean that chances to travel at great rates don’t come up from time to time and boy is Westjet’s Boxing Day sale a real good example.
While the real show-stoppers were snapped up earlier this morning, there are still some great deals at the time of this posting when booking with the promo code available on Westjet’s website.
At the moment you can book a flight right out of Brandon (free parking and all) with connections through Calgary and Vancouver and be in Maui for a ridiculously cheap round-trip flight of $377.26, leaving Brandon on Jan 16 and returning a week later. Using the same 30% off promo code Honolulu is only $420.67 on the dates of Jan 30-Feb 7. Great bonus with this deal is that your return flight would be a nice simple (albeit quite long!) Honolulu-to-Calgary, then Calgary right to Brandon. Then on the accommodation side of the ledger if your results are the same as my quick search is looks like a budget holiday is much easier to find in Honolulu/the island of Oahu.
