Just two days remain in the first year for Brandonâs inflatable water park, which wraps up its planned time for 2019 on the Keystone Centre grounds on Sunday.
Hours are to be 11am - 8pm, which have been kept standard since the parkâs mid-June opening save-for times when decisions relating to opening were effected by adverse weather. As of the time of this posting the forecast calls for a hot Saturday with a high of +30 and a high of +27 on Sunday with there being a 30% share of late morning/early afternoon showers on the latter. Saturdayâs UV index is anticipated to be at 8 (âvery highâ) and Sunday one higher at 9.
When info of the venture first broke, one of its unique points was said to be the ability to pop up at other locations in the area. For those that havenât and might not have a chance to check it out this summer, plans are being explored to pop up a similar setup some time before the season is up at a location along the Trans Canada Highway. Also being looked at is an opportunity to temporarily setup in a community further North in Manitoba.
Looking further ahead, I understand that plans are underway for next year at a slightly shifted location on the Keystone Centre grounds at 18th and Richmond with a target of being open for all of July and August.
