Two separate made-in-Westman products have earned accolades from this year’s edition of the World Beer Awards courtesy of Neepawa’s Farmery Estate Brewery.
The brewery’s Belgian-Style Wheat Beer has earned Silver in Canada in the category of Belgian Style Witbier. Also earning an award was the outfit’s Northern Light Lager, named Bronze in the Light category.
Both products make up Farmery’s Great White North Series.
The United Kingdom-based World Beer Awards are an annual tasting choosing the world’s best in internationally recognized beer styles, with Canadian entries having been judged earlier this year in Toronto.
As Canada’s original estate brewery, Farmery brews its product in-house out of its facility in Neepawa using barley and hops grown locally. As part of a growing list of accolades it was last year added to the list of ‘Manitoba Star Attractions,’ a program that highlights major tourism attractions in the province.
