September is near and with that will come a new school year at Brandon University in less than two weeks time.
In the lead up to students arriving for the fall term, the University took time to share this afternoon that the number of students attending the school for their post-secondary education has continued on its upward trajectory.
So far itâs reported that 3,337 students have registered compared to 3,241 at the same time in 2018. That represents a 3% increase year-on-year. Should the trend continue into when final enrolment numbers are tallied this fall it would represent the seventh straight year that enrolment has risen, a period over which the number of students has grown a full 25%.
Included in that number is however a dip in first year registrations compared to last year, a number that itâs said is more than offset by a big increase in retentions where more that three quarters of first year students are returning.
The first classes of the year start on September 4.
