Customers at local Tim Hortons locations will most likely notice something a little different in the days ahead when coming away with their hot drink of choice.
The companyâs new lids, first announced earlier this year, have made their way to Westman restaurants after seemingly gradually appearing at locations across the country in recent months.
The lids feature a raised dome, tabbed closure and improved flow of coffee from the cup according to a press release issued in May by Tim Hortons. The company says that the new lids are a product of more than two years of development, which included 12 research studies. The end result is a lid thatâs said to reduce spills while also being made from 100% recyclable material.
On Saturday afternoon itâs believed that 18th Street South and Victoria Avenue restaurants were making use of the new lids with a location in Shoppers Mall still serving up the soon-to-be-old style.
Tim Hortons has five locations in total within Brandon and two more in Westman in Neepawa and Virden. A new future Brandon location is in the works for 1st Street and Richmond Avenue.
Brandonâs locations made headlines yesterday when it was revealed that this yearâs Smile Cookie sales netted over $17,000 for the A-Dollar-A-Day Foundation.
