A local business will soon be closing after nearly four decades in operation in the city.
Peopleâs Market Place announced recently that it will be ceasing operations by the end of October as ownership moves on to semi-retirement.
As part of preparing for the closure the store is selling remaining inventory at what ownership describes as "giveaway prices" with current items remaining including but not limited to shelving, filing cabinets, desks, dvds, flags and coin supplies. Should inventory sell out sooner the possibility exists to close earlier than October 31.
In a message posted on social media the store thanked the community for its support during its time in operation.
People's Market Place is located in Brandon's Downtown at 32-13th street. Present ownership had been operating the store for more than ten years. Among its areas of speciality have been new and used furniture including new beds as well as coin and stamp supplies since opening 39 years ago.
