Three weeks after quietly conducting a soft opening of its first Manitoba location in Brandon, a rapidly expanding takeout and delivery pizza franchise’s local location is now transitioning toward full-time operation.
In extending opening to 11am seven days a week, Red Swan Pizza is now setup to accommodate lunch orders. Closing hours are also expanded to 2am on Friday and Saturday and 12 midnight on the other five days of the week. Previously hours had been limited to 2-10pm as the restaurant ramped up its operations.
According to local franchisee Meghan Patel, more than 1500 pizzas have been sold over the first 20 days during the initially limited hours. Of its menu of 41 different types of pizzas, the most popular so far have been “Meat Fan”, “All Dressed”, “Paneer Tikka and Butter Paneer” and “Tandoori and Butter Chicken.”
Also as part of going to full hours, the restaurant is now setup to take orders via website and app. Previously orders could be made by phone and walk-in only. A staff of four full-time and one part-time will be maintained out of its location at 1122 18th St Unit D with the expectation of taking on additional part-time in the not-to-distant future.
Since the initial December opening in Brandon, a second Manitoba location has opened in Winnipeg on Pembina Highway. Three more are planned in the province in 2020 including two in Winnipeg and one in Winkler.
