You might not know it by current thermometer readings, but summer camping season isn’t as far away as it might seem. Perhaps nowhere will that soon be more obvious than Riding Mountain National Park, which is set to this week open its camping reservation system for the coming season.
Beginning on Monday, January 13th at 8am, folks will be able to book for the coming season from options that include oTENTiks, micrOcubes, Yurts, Group Camping and Backcountry Camping.
Exceptions will be reservation of campsites in Front country campgrounds at Lake Audy, Moon Lake and Whirlpool Lake which are handled by self-registration on a first-come, first-serve basis during camping season.
oTENTiks at Moon Lake are winterized and as a result have been available to reserve online year-round.
A wide array of rates are in effect depending on location and nature of accommodation ranging from $16.05 for one night of camping at Moon Lake, Lake Audy, Whirlpool and Deep Lake to $122.64 per night during peak season for Wasagaming’s popular Yurt camping. A full listing of rates in effect for 2020 can be reviewed at https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/mb/riding/visit/tarifs-fees
